Klarus XT11X Flashlight, 3200 Lumens, 283m Beam, IPX8

Few 18650-powered lights reach 3200 lumens, a CREE XHP70.2 P2 emitter and intelligent thermal control get there without the overheating shutdown that plagues cheaper high-output torches pushed past what their heat sinks can handle. A 283 metre beam, a 3100mAh battery, and a holster included in the box round out a light clearly built for serious use rather than occasional charging-drawer duty.

IPX8 waterproof aluminium body, a 4th generation dual tail switch plus side switch covering one-touch Turbo, Strobe and Low, with mode memory so the light returns to whatever setting was last used.

A hidden extra mode

Holding both switches for 3 seconds unlocks an outdoor setting not accessible through normal mode cycling, a detail easy to miss without reading the manual but worth knowing about for anyone who wants the full range this light offers.

• 3200 lumens, 283m beam, CREE XHP70.2 P2 LED

Serious brightness for hunting, search and rescue, and rugged outdoor use where a standard torch falls short. The Klarus XT21X is rated to 4000 lumens from a 21700 battery.
