Before you buy: you'll need a Zigbee bridge
Unlike WiFi smart plugs and switches, these sensors communicate over Zigbee and need a compatible bridge or hub to connect to your WiFi and phone app. They won't work standalone straight out of the box, so confirm you have, or are also buying, a bridge before ordering.
What to check before you buy
Door and window sensors suit entry-point alerts, while temperature and humidity sensors are useful for monitoring a room remotely. Zigbee's lower power use means longer battery life than an equivalent WiFi sensor.
