The Wi-Fi spy camera links to your phone using the LookCam app (Search on apps store). This allows you to connect directly to the Camera’s Wi-Fi network without using a router or internet. However, an internet connection is required if you want to watch and record while being more than 20 meters away from the spy camera (for example, if you are in Kisumu and the camera is in Nairobi or America).
This do-it-yourself wireless cctv is simple to install and does not necessitate the services of a technician. We will only assist you with the installation to your phone, after which you will hide it yourself.

Q. How easy is it to set up this WiFi streaming camera?
We’ve designed this camera to be easy to set up and operate. The entire setup process is done right on the app on your iOS or Android device, and takes about 5-10 minutes. There is no complicated router configuration or anything needed.
Q. How does the optional night vision work?
There are two camera types. The default one is the regular camera kit that needs regular light in order to “see”. With the optional night vision upgrade, the camera includes a tiny attached IR board, with night vision sensors (see pictures). That night vision board has 3 little IR “lights” on it that help the camera see in the dark. These IR’s are the 940nm “no glow” lights, so they do not emit any visible light. The night vision sensors should be aimed in the same direction as the camera lens itself, so that the IR “light” will allow the camera to see in the dark.
Q. How is this hidden camera kit powered?
The kit includes both a standard battery, or you can use the included wall charger to plug into AC power it for 24/7 recording with no battery life concerns for longer use.
Q. How long will the battery last?
There are two battery options. The included standard battery will last up to 5 hours of continuous operation, while the extended battery provides up to 12 hours of continuous use.
Q. Are there any monthly fees to view or stream or record my video?
No there are not, all you need is your existing WiFi connection wherever you place the camera.
Q. What are motion detection alerts?
Motion alerts are push notifications (like a text message) that let you get notified instantly on your phone if your camera detects activity. This is useful for home or office security, so you know when people are coming and going. You can quickly pull up your camera feed to see what’s going on.
Q. Can I add additional cameras to the app to monitor multiple areas?
Yes you can. You can add as many additional cameras as needed to view multiple rooms or areas. You can even monitor cameras at different locations all from the same app, provided each camera is connected to a WiFi network in their respective locations.
Q. Is my video feed password protected?
Yes it is – so no one will be able to access your camera feed unless you provide them with your login info (such as with a spouse or partner).
Q. Can multiple people view the camera feed at once?
Yes they can, provided that you share your login and password information with them.
Q. Can I record my video too?
Yes you can. The camera can now accept up to a 128GB micro SD memory card, allowing you to record motion activated or continuous video to review at your convenience.
Q. Does the camera kit make any sound or noise when it’s recording or streaming?
No it does not – recording is completely covert.
Q. How do I adjust the camera settings or recording modes?
Everything is controlled through the smartphone app for your iPhone or Android device.
Q. How can I watch my recorded video?
The easiest way to view your video is to remove the memory card from the card slot and plug it into your PC or Mac computer. You can also remotely download your video to your smartphone via the app, however due the large file size this can take a while depending on your connection speed.
Q. Do I need any special WiFi connection to use with this camera?
The camera is compatible with most WiFi networks. A 2.4GHz network is needed (which most routers use). Some networks such as corporate or public WiFi (such as a business, or a hotel or coffee shop) may have additional security that might cause issues, so if you are planning on using a corporate or public WiFi network you may need to talk with a network administrator first to ensure there are not any strict security requirements on the network. Note: 5.8Ghz WiFi networks are not supported by this, or any other hidden camera on the market yet.
Q. What if I don’t have WiFi? Can the camera operate in P2P mode?
If your home or office (or wherever you want to use the camera) doesn’t have a WiFi connection, you can use the camera directly in P2P mode, which allows you to view the live camera feed up to around 15 feet or so away. This allows you to live view the camera feed from a short distance away by connecting to the camera’s short-range WiFi signal.
Q. Can I view or stream or record to a PC or Mac?
This camera kit is compatible with iPhone and Android devices only – it doesn’t interface with computers.
Q. Can this camera be used outdoors?
The WiFi Pinhole Camera Kit is not weather resistant or weatherproof so we do not recommend using it outdoors or anywhere it may be exposed to moisture or extreme temperatures.
